Tickets are NOW on sale for the Hyatts Film Festival. Here are the details of the tickets sale. We have 280 seats in the theater. These seats are going to be a hot commodity because 45 of them are going to the participants that submitted a film to the show. So, there are approximately 245 tickets for sale that will get you a seat in the theater. Tickets are $6.00 a seat. If you want a ticket INSIDE the theater, then you might want to grab a seat early.
There are also 100 seats available in the lobby/3rd floor level of the Gateway Film Center. These tickets are $3.00 a piece and allow you access to the 3rd floor, but not the inside the theater. You will be able to see EVERYTHING that is on the big screen in the theater, but you WILL NOT be able to see the hosts or the winners come up to collect their prizes.
That is a total of 380 seats to watch the show. I hope all that wants to come to the show are able to pick up a ticket. The participants of the film festival have been given the opportunity to buy tickets yesterday and today. Starting Wednesday, tickets are open to all.
My advice, I think that the show will be awesome and the experience will be phenomenal for the students, as long as they are inside the theater. I believe that anyone who gets the $3.00 tickets will miss out on the experience but will still be able to enjoy most of the show, the part of the show that is on the big screen. There are 4 HD TVs in the 3rd floor level. Another option with the $3.00 tickets, is that you can get dinner at the Torpedo Room, the restaurant inside the Gateway Film Center, and have it brought up to the third floor, where you can eat your food and enjoy the movies.
I wish there were more seats, but I hope all that want to come, those who REALLY want to come, are able to get tickets inside the theater.
As for the show, the first hour will be of the films that were nominated for an award. Then we will head straight to the awards segment of the show. This part of the show will include the Film Festival Awards, Eagle News Awards, a celebration video of Hyatts, the Annual 8th Grade Lip Dub and some special surprises. The show should end around 9:30PM.
As always, if, after the show, you have constructive criticism about the show, then email me!
